The postcard image I chose for 05/19/23 was taken from a yard in the Ridgecrest neighborhood. I’ve encountered various Buddha statues, but this one, adorned with rocks at its base, felt different. Seeing this Buddha prompted me to reflect on mindfulness and staying grounded in the present moment—a significantly more solemn topic than the tune I was humming when he came into view.
